Concept project

Brasa Norte

A contemporary grill concept. The intensity of fire carries into a digital identity that puts the ingredients first.

CREATIVE DIRECTION

Fire, produce and character.

Dark backgrounds, golden tones and calm typography. Photography brings the food and Asturian landscape closer, from the homepage to the menu and cellar.

From the landscape to the table.

Context and challenge

Brasa Norte imagines a contemporary restaurant in Asturias. The challenge is to convey the care behind the cooking without making visitors read a magazine before finding the menu, opening hours or a table. Atmosphere starts the conversation; practical information makes a decision possible.

Three stories, one kitchen

Place, produce and people organise the content. Landscape explains the origins; seasonal photography brings ingredients closer; the space and team give the story a human scale. Each story offers a next step towards the menu or a reservation, without turning local roots into a tourism pitch.

Discover the menu first

The proposed journey separates the à la carte menu, tasting menu and wine list. Dishes, prices, seasonal availability and allergens would be editable, readable content rather than a PDF dependency. Recommendations support a choice without hiding essential information inside an image.

An unambiguous reservation

Date, party size and sitting form a short request. Confirmation must distinguish an accepted table from a pending enquiry, with an alternative when a slot is unavailable. On mobile, booking stays within reach without covering the menu; special requirements remain optional.

Typography and rhythm

A high-contrast serif gives headlines their character; a restrained sans organises navigation, prices and controls. Spaced capitals are reserved for short labels. The composition alternates a large scene with produce details and reading blocks so that every element does not compete for attention.

Imagery and interaction

The photographic direction connects warm light, fire and ingredient textures with the Atlantic landscape. Generated images express this concept direction. Brief transitions are proposed for sections and controls, with static equivalents and no autoplay video needed to browse or book.

A palette drawn from the atmosphere.

Defined values for developing the concept: charcoal backgrounds, readable ivory, brass accents and two supporting tones from the landscape.

ANOTHER SCREEN. THE SAME IDEA.

The character
stays intact.

The mobile composition keeps that energy with a direct hierarchy, from the first image to the menu.

  • A hierarchy designed for touch.
  • The food stays centre stage.
  • Booking stays in sight.

Production approach

This is a proposed implementation, not a launched restaurant website. Components built with TypeScript, semantic HTML and responsive CSS would separate menus, stories and reservations. Appropriately sized AVIF/WebP images, reduced motion and accessible controls would support performance. Reservations would connect to the restaurant’s chosen system; Restaurant and Menu structured data would use verified, real information only. Opening hours, prices and availability would have a clear editorial owner and a simple update process.
